Alfanar's Lebanon Country Director Michelle Mouracade recently spoke to Forbes to discuss how women-led social enterprises are leading the way in response to the devastating August 4th explosion, and how Lebanon is poised to become a world leader in social enterpreneurship in coming years.

Alfanar supports social enterprises in the Middle East with funding, training, management support and access to networks and markets. Our Emergency Lebanon Appeal aims to raise $500,000 (£380,000) to provide emergency relief for thousands of vulnerable people who have had their homes and livelihoods destroyed. Funds raised are focused on hunger relief, debris clean-up and reconstruction and direct support to our portfolio social enterprises.
